Cookie Policy

This page explains what cookies and similar technologies the Roomie website and mobile app use, what they do, and how you can control them.
What is a cookie
A cookie is a small text file your browser stores on your device when you visit a website. The mobile app uses similar local-storage mechanisms inside the app sandbox.
How we use cookies
The marketing website (roomie.wtf) currently uses only strictly necessary cookies. It has no advertising and no third-party trackers.
Inside the mobile app, we store login tokens, theme preference, and locale on-device. These are not cookies in the browser sense but serve a similar purpose.
Categories
- Strictly necessary: session identifiers, CSRF protection, language preference.
- Advertising / third-party tracking: none.
How to control cookies
You can block cookies in your browser settings. Doing so will not prevent the site from loading, but the language switcher may not remember your choice between sessions.
In the mobile app, signing out clears the session token. Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data.
Changes
If the categories of cookies we use change, this page will be updated.
